HCER provides expertise and technical assistance in the areas of assessment, research, and evaluation to academic and practice partners for performance improvement measurement. HCER coordinates the design, implementation, and analysis of:
- Workforce needs assessment
- Individual competency based impact
- Program process and outcome evaluation
- Impact and capacity improvement evaluation
Specific HCER capacity includes process, competency based, knowledge based, program, and outcome evaluations. The methods used to capture this data include pre/post test surveys, retrospective surveys, process questionnaires, and/or observational evaluations.
HCER staff can provide technical assistance and/or work collaboratively with trainers in survey design and distribution, as well as data analysis. Technical skills of the HC staff include:
- SAS
- SPSS
- Stata
- ArcGIS
- Snap (Mercator)
- Programs tailored to specific survey research needs
