A primary goal of the Heartland Education and Training Center (HETC) is to develop and implement competency-based education and training programs and products to meet public health workforce assessed needs. The HETC utilizes a comprehensive, competency-based approach to public health workforce development through:
- Workforce needs assessment
- Curriculum development
- Post-program evaluation
Workforce from multi-sectors, multi-disciplines and multi-jurisdictions are provided improved and sustained access to programs and exercises (onsite and technology mediated formats).
